Volunteer Opportunities

Who They Are:

We love volunteers! They are the thing that makes Grace Place work. Many volunteers come to us through the school system for community service. Other volunteers come from church and school groups. Both men and women are welcome to volunteer. We also have individuals who want to put some structure into their lives. They come weekly. If you have a few hours every week, we would love to have you spend some time with us.

Mentors:

*Women helping moms with instructional videos and emotional support. A set time is needed so you can work with moms every week.
*Greet mom and father.
*Pull the client’s online file, determine the video to watch, record Baby Bucks and video in file.
*Review with client the lesson over the phone or in person.
*Read Spiritual Application and lead client in prayer.

Advocates:

Provides emotional, practical, and spiritual support to individuals facing unplanned pregnancies, aiming to empower them to choose life.

Responsibilities include offering peer counseling, administering a pregnancy test, providing information on pregnancy options, and connecting clients with resources.
This role requires high confidentiality, empathy, and usually a commitment to pro-life, faith-based values. All Advocate Volunteers will receive hands on training, as well as, online training courses that will help build your confidence in this role.

Boutique Volunteer:

*Help moms while shopping.
*Stock stores and keep it tidy.
*Check out moms when they complete their shopping.
*Record clients shopping and Baby Bucks in their online file.

Donation Processor:

*Greet donors and give them a tax receipt.
*Package diapers.

*Sort laundered donations by season, gender, and size.

*Sort donations. Remove stained, torn or heavily used items. Wash donations.
